Course Perspective

Just wrapped up the “Analyze Data to Answer Questions” course, and I gotta say, it’s been a trip. I’ve been around the block in digital marketing and programming, but diving into data analysis like this was a different ball game.

First off, organizing data before even thinking about analysis? Game-changer. Simple stuff like sorts and filters make a massive difference, and it’s wild that I didn’t pay enough attention to it before. Lesson learned.

SQL queries were another highlight. Combining data from multiple tables used to be a headache, but now? It’s like putting together a puzzle, and I’ve got the cheat sheet. The functions and syntax aren’t as daunting as they seemed, and it’s going to make my data projects way smoother.

Data conversion and formatting was another eye-opener. I mean, you’ve got to speak the same language as your data to get any sense out of it, right? The course broke down the steps, and it’s not as complicated as I thought.

Last but not least, using functions for basic calculations in spreadsheets. I know, it sounds simple, but the devil’s in the details. Getting hands-on practice with this has given me a bunch of shortcuts and tricks to speed things up.

Life’s too short to keep all this knowledge to myself. I’ve been in Malaysia and Singapore for years, and my main thing is to share what I know. Especially now that I’m getting older and have a family to think about, it’s more important than ever to pass on what I’ve learned. Whether it’s digital marketing, programming, or even badminton coaching, I’m all in for sharing the love.

So what’s next? I’m taking these new skills and applying them to my digital marketing projects, no question. Data drives decisions, and now I’ve got the tools to make better ones. And yeah, I’ll be spreading the word and helping others get on this level. That’s what it’s all about, right?
