Course Perspective
Initially, I wasn’t thrilled about taking a Cloud Application Development Foundations course. I figured it’d be another tech topic that would fly right over my head. But now that I’ve completed it, I’m genuinely excited about my new skills.
I’ve been in digital marketing for years, so I understand the importance of delivering what people actually want. Now I have the ability to build my own apps to meet those needs. It’s challenging, no doubt, but the rewards are well worth the hard work. I’ve seen plenty of app companies miss the mark, and I’m confident I can do better.
The course covered all the essentials of cloud computing. I learned the basics, set up my own cloud account, and even dived into more advanced topics like back-end and front-end development languages. By the end, I was deploying apps using modern cloud techniques and CI/CD toolchains. GitHub has also become an essential tool for showcasing my projects.
Why is this important to me? I work and live in Malaysia and Singapore, places I adore. As I age, I want to give back to my community and beyond. I plan to use these skills not just in my marketing work but also to share my knowledge in other fields like programming and even my hobbies.
Life’s too short to hoard knowledge or to focus solely on making money. So keep an eye out for some user-friendly apps from me in the near future. This course has empowered me to make that a reality.
