Course Perspective

Just finished up the “From Likes to Leads: Interact with Customers Online” course, and it’s been a game-changer. As someone who’s already deep into digital marketing and programming, I tend to go in skeptical about these courses. After all, for me, a certificate is mostly a piece of paper. But I’ve got to admit, this one hit different.

The course was a deep dive into social media marketing, which is way more than just putting up pretty pictures. It’s a full-blown strategy game, and this course broke down the playbook. We started with the basics, defining what social media marketing is and why it matters. Then we got into the meaty stuff: the core pillars.

Now, those core pillars—strategy, planning and publishing, listening and engagement, analytics and reporting, and advertising—those are the backbone of any social media campaign. This isn’t just posting and praying; it’s a calculated approach that involves multiple steps and a lot of fine-tuning.

Speaking of campaigns, the course also touched on setting clear goals for social media efforts. It’s not just about racking up likes or follows; it’s about converting those into leads, sales, or whatever your endgame is.

And let’s not forget content. Man, the course went all-in on how to write, design, and even repurpose content so it resonates with your audience. It’s not just what you say, but how you say it that counts.

So what’s next for me? Well, sharing this knowledge is a given. I’m all about giving back, especially to my communities in Malaysia and Singapore. And not just because I’ve got a family and a kid who looks up to me, but because life’s too short to keep good stuff to yourself.

In a nutshell, this course wasn’t just a “how-to” guide. It was a “how to do it right” guide. Even for a veteran in the field like me, there’s always room for improvement. And this course was the nudge I didn’t know I needed.
