Course Perspective
Before taking the Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce course, I was just your average lab tech, tinkering with calibrations and technical details. It’s skilled work for sure, but let’s be real, only a handful of people are into the nuts and bolts of lab work. This course, though, has been a real pivot for me.
Suddenly, I’m not just a tech guy, i can also market what I do in a way that speaks to people. This isn’t just about cashing in; it’s about spreading knowledge and adding value. I’ve always wanted to share my expertise, and now I’ve got the toolkit to do it right.
The course didn’t skimp on the basics. I learned the foundations of digital marketing, essential for anyone eyeing an entry-level job in the sector. And the analytics section was a high point for me—learning to gauge performance and extract insights. That’s big, particularly for a data nerd like me, just in a new setting.
I also picked up tricks for pulling in and retaining customers via digital platforms like search and email. And let’s not forget the e-commerce aspect, now I can set up online shops, keep tabs on how they’re doing, and build customer loyalty for every company i worked with like Asia Wine Network.
Why does this matter to me? I’ve spent a good chunk of my life in Malaysia and Singapore, and I’ve got a soft spot for these places. As the years roll on, I feel more and more like giving back. Whether it’s digital marketing, my tech skills, or even other interests like badminton and wine, sharing is the aim. No need to hold onto knowledge or chase a quick buck.
To wrap it up, this course has been a fresh start for me. It’s expanded my skills and given me the means to mesh my technical background with real-world needs. And that opens up a ton of new opportunities.
