Course Perspective

Before taking the IBM Applied Data Science course, I was mainly into sports, especially badminton. Sure, digital marketing and programming paid the bills, but data science wasn’t on my radar. I’ve been more of a lone wolf, relying on gut feelings to make choices. This course, however, taught me to back up those feelings with hard data.

The course was solid. It started with Python basics and went all the way into the details of data visualization. It wasn’t just a beginner’s guide; it taught us how to use Python in real-world data analysis. Trust me, getting a grip on applied data science tools and techniques is a big deal.

Why is this significant for me? Well, I’ve been in digital marketing for a while, and knowing your audience is key. Being able to analyze and present data takes my game to the next level. I can sharpen my campaigns, making them more effective and focused.

But it’s not all about the job for me. I’ve spent years in Malaysia and Singapore, and I feel a strong bond with these places. As time goes on, I’m more interested in sharing what I’ve learned. That could be in digital marketing, programming, or even badminton coaching. My goal is to share freely because life’s too fleeting to just stash away knowledge or worry about the bottom line.

With this new skill set from the course, I’m eager to share even more. It’s not just about crunching numbers; it’s about using data to make smarter choices and have a bigger impact. And if I can help people in the process, that’s the best outcome for me.
