Course Perspective

Just finished the “Make the Sale: Build, Launch and Manage E-commerce Stores” course, and honestly, it was an eye-opener. Not to toot my own horn, but I’ve always been hands-on when it comes to learning new stuff. I dig in and get my hands dirty before even stepping into a classroom or logging into an online course. So, when I jumped into this e-commerce adventure, I was already buzzing with excitement.

Essential Strategies: The course kicked off with the basics of e-commerce, outlining what it takes to succeed in the digital marketplace. While I’ve got some digital marketing background, these strategies were like a fresh coat of paint on an old fence. Just brightened everything up.

Customer Experience: Ah, the golden goose! We dug into creating a solid user experience that keeps people coming back. From site navigation to payment processes, it’s the little things that make a big difference.

Platforms and Stores: This part was pretty neat. We went into different platforms you can use to host your e-commerce store. Shopify, Magento, you name it. I learned the pros and cons and how to pick the one that fits your needs.

Mock Store on Shopify: Here’s where things got real. I set up a mock store on Shopify, picking products and setting prices. It was like playing house, but with a business angle. By the end of it, I had a functioning e-commerce site. No big deal.

Being someone who loves sharing knowledge, I’m already brainstorming ways to use what I’ve learned to help others. Whether it’s in digital marketing, programming, or any of my other passions like badminton and red wine, these e-commerce skills are universal. I can’t wait to spread this knowledge to folks in Malaysia and Singapore, where I’ve been living for years.

The thing is, life’s too short to keep what you know locked away. I’ve got a family and a little one to think about, and the best thing I can do is help make the world a better place for them. So, watch this space. I’ve got a lot more to share, and I can’t wait to get started.
