Course Perspective

Just finished the course on Developing Applications with SQL, Databases, and Django, and I’m buzzing with ideas. Look, I’ve always been a hands-on guy, diving deep into the subjects before even stepping into a classroom or online course. Honestly, who cares about a certificate? It’s what you can do that matters.

Given that my main gig involves digital marketing and programming, this course was like finding a treasure chest. We got into everything: SQL, databases, and even Django ORM for object-oriented databases. This isn’t something you see every day, and I’m stoked about the practical applications.

We started by understanding what a database is—basic, but essential. From there, we created entity-relationship data models for relational databases. No database course would be complete without SQL queries, right? We covered how to insert, select, update, and delete data, and let me tell you, it’s more fun than it sounds.

But the icing on the cake was Django ORM. That’s a whole new dimension for databases, making them object-oriented. Combine that with Bootstrap integrated into the Django template, and you’ve got yourself interactive web pages.

What’s cool is that all of this ties back into my main career. In digital marketing, the key is to understand what people need. SQL and databases? That’s all about knowing your customer. And with Django, the door opens to more interactive and dynamic marketing strategies. Especially here in Malaysia and Singapore, where I’ve been living for years, this stuff can really make a difference.

Life’s too short to keep all this knowledge to myself. Got a family and a cute kid who remind me every day that it’s not about money; it’s about making life better for everyone. So, you can bet I’ll be sharing what I’ve learned, whether it’s in digital marketing, programming, or any of my hobbies. Because in the end, it’s not just about doing well; it’s about doing good.
