Course Perspective

Just wrapped up the Engaging in Persuasive and Credible Communication course, and wow, it was an eye-opener. Look, I’ve always been the kind of person who dives headfirst into anything I’m interested in, so by the time I get to the “official” course, I feel like I’ve already got a good handle on things. But this course? It gave me insights I didn’t even know I was missing.

We kicked off by diving deep into the nitty-gritty of persuasion and credibility. It’s not enough to just sound like you know what you’re talking about; you’ve got to back it up. Analyzing the theoretical concepts behind these was like flipping a switch in my brain. I can see now how this will amp up my game in digital marketing and programming.

Then we moved on to the power of the written word. As someone who’s pretty hands-on and direct, I sometimes overlook the nuances of writing. The course laid down some golden rules for making your writing more persuasive. It’s not just about what you say; it’s also about how you say it.

But here’s where it gets juicy: the global context. I’ve spent years in Malaysia and Singapore, and I’ve got a unique lens on what people in this part of the world need. This course helped me see how persuasion and credibility aren’t one-size-fits-all. Different cultures respond to different triggers, and if you’re not aware of that, you’re leaving a lot on the table.

Speaking of different cultures, the course tackled the challenge of maintaining persuasion and credibility across cultural divides. This was key for me. I love sharing my knowledge, whether it’s digital marketing, programming, or even my hobbies. And now I’ve got the tools to do it in a way that resonates, not just here, but potentially anywhere.

So what’s next? I’ve got a family to think about, and time is ticking. I’m not getting any younger, and I want to make the most of the time I’ve got. This course has given me another set of tools to help people, and I can’t wait to put them to use. Whether it’s my career or my passion for helping others learn, I’m all in. Let’s do this.
