Course Perspective

Just finished the “Work Smarter, Not Harder” course, and let me tell you, it’s a breath of fresh air. I’ve always had this knack for diving deep into things before formalizing it with some kind of course or certification. Certificates are all well and good, but it’s the real-world skills that count.

So, let’s get to the nitty-gritty. One of the first things this course tackled was planning effectively to achieve personal and professional goals. Now, I’ve been in digital marketing and programming for a while, and planning is like the backbone of everything we do. It was great to see a structured approach to something I’ve been doing intuitively.

Managing crises? Oh, man, that’s a big one. In my line of work, things can go south real quick. Whether it’s a code that won’t compile or an ad campaign that’s flopping, crises are part of the game. The course talked about keeping perspective, and that’s something I can definitely improve on.

The time management part hit close to home. We all think we’re good at it until we’re not, right? The course laid down some real talk about recognizing barriers to effective time management. Whether it’s procrastination or just poor planning, knowing is half the battle.

And let’s not forget resource management. In both my professional life and my personal projects, like badminton coaching or even just enjoying some good red wine, managing resources effectively is key. Time, money, people—you name it.

The best part is that I’m not keeping this knowledge to myself. I’ve got a family, and my aim is to help as many people as I can. Especially in Malaysia and Singapore, where I’ve spent a lot of time, there’s a real need for this kind of practical wisdom. So, I’ll be sharing what I’ve learned, helping others to also work smarter and not just harder.

Overall, the course was a solid addition to my skill set, and I’m eager to implement what I’ve learned. Whether in my digital marketing projects or life in general, it’s all about maximizing impact while minimizing effort. On to the next one!
